Sharing Files to Someone Off Campus

Once you’ve created a OneDrive folder with the files you want to share,

Step 1

Go to https://www.office.com and sign in

Step 2

Choose OneDrive from the waffle

Step 3

Navigate to the folder your want to share.

Step 4

Click the SHARE button near the top of the page.

Step 5

Type in the email addresses of the recipients and type your message to them.

Step 6

You will get a notice that it has been shared.

Step 7

They will receive an email that looks like this, where they’ll be able to access the folder.

SIDE NOTE: If you don’t want them to be able to edit, you can perform the following to give them read-only access:

First, click the “copy link” subtext:

Uncheck the allow editing access checkbox:
